*What is a Volunteer’s Time Worth? The Independent Sector tracks the value of volunteer time, updated yearly. Value is based on the average hourly earnings for non-management, non-agricultural workers as determined by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, and then increased by 12 percent to estimate fringe benefits.
