Wildlife Rescue Basics Presentation/Demonstration

Wildlife Rescue Basics:

  • Learn how you can volunteer NOW and help the wildlife rehabilitation effort in the Brazoria/Matagorda County areas. 
  • What to do if you find an injured or orphaned wild animal. (First aid, safety, handling techniques for birds and mammals) 
  • Overview of wildlife rehabilitation…including the role of rehabilitators and volunteers, how to become a wildlife rehabilitator, and state and federal wildlife laws
  • How to peacefully coexist with wildlife (i.e., how to rid your attic of squirrels or raccoons, how to deal with nuisance animals) 
  • Learn about birds of prey (hawks and owls) and see live educational birds.
