Nueces Delta Preserve

This Coastal Bend Bays and Estuaries Program partnership with the Mid-Coast Chapter offers opportunities to work in habitat improvement and education, both directly with students and in creating materials for student use.

Events you can volunteer for:

  • Sept 10: Delta Discovery Picnic from 11-2 pm – We are looking for a volunteer to come and help Josh this day as Lari Jo and I will not be able to attend.
  • Sept 21-22: Ray HS Aquatic Science, Goose Island (75 students/day)
  • Oct 5-6, 19-20: Flour Bluff 4th grade (100 students/day)
  • Oct 11-12: South Park 6th Grade
  • Oct 13: Miller HS Aquatic Science,  NDP (60 students)
  • Oct 17-18: Ray HS Aquatic Sc, NDP (75 students/day)
  • Oct 22: Delta Discovery Picnic
  • Oct 25-28: Baker 6th grade
  • Oct 31: Odem HS Environmental Literacy (I don’t have a number of students yet)
  • Nov 1-4: Driscoll 6th Grade
  • Nov 14-17: Grant 6th Grade
  • Nov 29-Dec 2: Kaffie 6th Grade
  • Dec 13-15: Martin 6th Grade
