Want to help fight Brazilian Pepper in Port Aransas?
The next Texas Gulf Region Cooperative Weed Management Area (TGR-CWMA) workday and meeting is scheduled February 18, 2020.
The workday to remove Brazilian peppertrees will begin at 8:00 am and end at 11:00 am. Meet at the Nature Preserve Headquarters, 106 Cut Off Road. Port Aransas, TX 78373. Volunteers will help remove Brazilian peppertree at UTMSI and other locations in Port Aransas. Bring work gloves, bug spray, and sunscreen. Wear long pants, closed-toed shoes and a hat. A water cooler will be provided for refilling reusable water bottles.
The CWMA meeting will be at 2 pm at UTMSI, in the Estuarine Research Center. The meeting is open to the public and you are encouraged to attend. Come and meet like-minded people and hear what the CWMA has accomplished and what they are planning.
