We need your help removing invasive Guinea Grass to make way for native grasses and wildflowers! Guinea Grass is a non-native, invasive grass that outcompetes native plants for critical resources like sunlight, water, and space. Join us for a volunteer work day (morning, really) to learn how to identify, dig up, and remove this invasive plant together.

When: Tuesday, July 23, 2019, 8:30 – 10:00 am
Where: Goose Island State Park. Meet at the Rec Hall.
Bring:

  • Work gloves
  • Shovels
  • Sun protection
  • Insect repellant
  • Drinking water and/or sports drinks
  • Eye protection
  • Lightweight pants & long sleeves
  • Work boots or old tennis shoes
