Sea Turtle Rescue/Recovery

Cold-Stunned Sea Turtle Training

All new and returning volunteers must attend one of the two identical, virtual cold-stunned training sessions  via Microsoft Teams webinar. The two available training dates are:

Sea Turtle Cold Stunned Lecture and Training – Session 1
Date: 26 October 2023 (Thursday)
Time: 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Sea Turtle Cold Stunned Lecture and Training – Session 2
Date: 28 October 2023 (Saturday)
Time: 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

These training sessions are open to the public, program volunteers, and our Texas partners. Please sign up in advance to receive a link to the webinar and to maintain a roster of attendees. For those of you working in our partner programs, having verification of your attendance is necessary to qualify you for remaining on their permits and/or continuing to participate in these programs.

If you have questions or would like to sign up for a training session, contact Martha Villalba. Please feel free to forward this information to others who might be interested. We look forward to your participation in efforts to protect these debilitated, threatened, and endangered species that need our help during cold spells that affect the Texas coast nearly every year!
