MG Lectures and Workshops

TMN-mission-related advanced training is offered by Master Gardeners and AgriLife Extension Service at 892 Airport Rd, Rockport, TX 78382. All brownbag lectures are Tuesdays from 12-1 pm at the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service-Aransas County 892 Airport Road, Rockport. Workshops are typically on Saturdays.

  • Sat Apr 26 10am-Noon WORKSHOP “Make the Most of Water in the Garden”—How to make a rain barrel; participants will take home fittings to make their own. Learn about and make olla. Limited to 20 participants. Fee $30. Register and pay
  • Sat May 10 10-Noon SPECIAL PROGRAM “Water Restrictions Update” Brian Williams, General Manager San Patricio Municipal Water District
  • Tue June 17 Noon-1pm “Container Plants: Surviving the Summer” Kathy Hubner
  • Sat August 16 10-Noon WORKSHOP “Propagation: Cuttings and Beyond” Hands -on workshop taught by Master Gardeners. Limited to 20 participants. Fee $20. Register and pay
  • Tue Aug 19 Noon-1pm “Native Plants to Attract Humming Birds” Kimberly Juarez, Tejas Prairie
  • Tue Sept 16 Noon-1pm “Butterfly Gardening” Michael Womack, South Texas Botanical Garden
